When you visit the Fluvarium, you’ll have the chance to look through a series of nine panoramic viewing windows and see the secret underwater life of a river. As a visitor, you will be able to see fish in three different natural habitats and see the interactions, behaviors and competition between the different fish species.
You’ll also marvel at being able to view the fish at the various stages of their life cycles. This is the only year round public fluvarium in North America. You’ll also find exhibits related to freshwater ecology, as well as live exhibits displaying frogs, toads, eels freshwater fish and invertebrates.
This unique facility is located on the shores of Long Pond in the heart of Pippy Park. It is open year-round and its web site is www.fluvarium.ca.
