Restored to its original 1830s splendor, Commissariat House is a late-Georgian mansion that was once used by the British military. It was actually the residence and office of the British garrison’s supply officer.
Now operating as a tearoom, the house is open daily throughout the summer months and contains many period furnishings of the era. Costumed guides on site can help answer any questions you may have. The Commissariat House is on King's Bridge Road, near Gower Street.
